Perio-Med Oral rinse is an anti-bacterial rinse that is often recommended for patients who have active periodontal disease or are undergoing periodontal therapy, for patients with extensive crown and bridgework, for patients with sensitive teeth, for patients with extensive caries (cavities) problems, for patients with dentures or partials, and for patients who have low saliva content in their mouths.
This rinse has been proven to kill the bacteria in their mouth that can cause both decay and periodontitus. Used in conjunction with sound dental treatment it can greatly reduce the rate of growth of these bacteria in the mouth thereby limiting the damage that these bacteria can cause to the teeth and gums.
