Dental implants offers a second chance at perfect teeth

As we live out our lives, and we age and grow older, parts of the body start wearing
out such as your knee's for some, from abuse, and wear and tear. Teeth are the same,
and they need to be taken care of in order to last a life time. For many, molars
start to crack from the enormous pressure they are exposed to on a daily basis when
simply chewing food. But other factors as such drinking fruit juice, soda pop like
Mountain Dew, and eating lots of sugary sweets will create acids that will attack
the teeth, and even burn a small hole through them. They become weak and one day
when chewing food or gum, a corner of your tooth will just snap off. That's when
it's time to get a crown put on. Several crowns will get you by a long time, perhaps
20 to 50 years, but it is inevitable, that the underlying tooths structure will
crack, requiring that the tooth be pulled.
If one tooth goes, there's a good chance that the surrounding teeth are ready to
go as well. When 2 or 3 teeth wear out, or crack, a bridge is used to repair
the damage. But when 2 teeth in a row needs to be removed, then we turn to
the dental implant retained bridge.
The concept of the dental implant retained bridge is quite simple, and easy for
HLD Dental Implant Center to perform. We will install a dental implant system to
replace the missing tooth on the outside of the group, and then trim the other outside
tooth to accept a crown. The implant and the other tooth will act as post, to hold
a group of crowns that are attached like a bridge in place. Once again, your back
in business, and can continue to chew food as usual. But lay off the fruit juice
to keep the rest of the teeth intact..
Let's take a quick look at the implant retained bridge, and how it is installed,
so you better understand the procedure. Then if you feel good with it, you can call
our office at 714-846-4414 and get one setup for you.

This is an actual Implant Retained Bridge made by Nobel Biocare. It has been color
matched to the patients surrounding teeth, and will look completely natural when
installed.
Notice how the teeth are connected to one another, this construction technique is
referred to as a bridge. The two outside teeth will be secured by an abutment, while
the two inside teeth will merely float in the center.
This is an alternative to getting four separate Jaw Anchors and Abutments, and four
separate crowns that attach, and is completely strong and stable. The difference
in price is about half the cost of four individual implants.
These incisor bridges can differ in the amount of teeth that are bridged, but the
minimum is 3 teeth, and can go out to 6 teeth if conditions are right.

The image above is a molar bridge made by Nobel Biocare, and represents the Procera
Crown line. It is constructed of Nobel Biocare's Ceramic, which is the same as Zirconia.
These are much whiter than the ones on the left, because the patient does not smoke
or consume coffee and tea. But is you look close, you'll see yellow staining in
the top within the cavities. This has been added by the lab so that it matches the
surrounding teeth, so that the blend in after installation.
Once again, the three teeth are connected together, forming a bridge that will be
support by 2 abutments. One abutment can be titanium jaw anchor and abutment, and
the other can be a natural tooth, or 2 titanium abutments on both sides. Either
case, this implant retained bridge is a fine sound solution that will restore your
eating functionality.
